FPU National and Fullah Tribal Administration Western Area distributes over 1000 bags of rice to deliver hope and sustenance to the underprivileged during Ramadan across Sierra Leone.
The Fullah Progressive Union (FPU), in collaboration with the Fullah Tribal Administration Western Area in Sierra Leone, has embarked on a significant initiative to support the underprivileged during Ramadan. Their joint effort aims to distribute over 1000 bags of rice to various marginalized groups, including mosques, orphanages, widows, disables and communities across all 16 districts in Sierra Leone.
The official launch of this noble project took place today, Saturday, March 23rd, 2024, at the FPU headquarters in Freetown. Alhaji Osman Bah, the National Secretary General of FPU, represented the National President, Alhaji Umaru Sanu Barrie, during the symbolic ceremony. The event was attended by key stakeholders from both the FPU and the Fula Tribal Administration.
This act of charity and solidarity has become a tradition, as the FPU and the Fullah Tribal Administration have consistently carried out similar donations during Ramadan for the past four years. Their commitment to uplifting the less fortunate members of society reflects the values of compassion and community support deeply rooted within the Fullah culture.
